A person from Saladillo department is invited to walk from Buenos Aires City to Cazón, last section of Kamiñante project. Kamiñanate is a tour where two walkers get around from Calderón Quito to CENTRO RURAL DE ARTE in Cazón. The itinerary is from June to October and joint many actions through Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia and Argentina.

The proposal

It is open to artists, explorers, surveyors, geographers, teachers, musicians, carpenters, sociologists, researchers, historians, poets, farmers, drivers, veterinarians, entomologists, trapeze artists and all who live at Saladillo Department and want to walk from Buenos Aires City to Cazón.

It is required to be enthusiastic to set out on the journey and be able to walk 8 hours a day (around 20 km per day / 10 days of walk). The activity is part of an art project so the walk is contemplative, not with a sporting focus.

There are covered the expenses of the bus from Saladillo to Buenos Aires City and a travel allowance for 10 days. Accommodation is planned to be camping or in houses with occasional hosts. Departure time is planned to be around October 5th, 2015.

Why walking

Walk is a primitive and everyday action. Walk drives to biologic, mental and social survival.Walk is the result of the body push to communication and also risks of the road. Walk is calmness in relation with hurry of tactic technology. The walker as politic subject can take own desire and time to decide how to use them. The itinerary is at the same time the act of going through, line and story. Walking is an option to be aware of the world from body.
